Romie was a scholar of world religions, a lover of all books and a well-respected teacher of history. He then went on to a rewarding teaching career at Northwestern Regional School District 7. Romie attended New Haven and West Haven public schools, after which he entered Southern Connecticut State University, where he graduated with bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
